Imagine what your life would be like if you didn’t learn to walk. If as a baby you just gave up after the 1st, 2nd maybe 3rd attempt of learning to walk and falling over again. Have you ever wondered what your life would be like if you didn’t learn to walk? Would you be content with crawling on your hands and knees for the rest of your life? But no, I’m sure as you’re reading this you can walk, in fact you probably do it now without even consciously thinking about it, don’t you !!

Yet as adults, in society today, it seems that it’s the norm to try something once and then choose to ‘give up’ on it, or not even giving it a go in the first place, rationalising it with a list of excuses like….

  • it’s too hard
  • I’m not good at it
  • it’s not easy
  • I can’t do it
  • I can’t work it out
  • I’m too old
  • I’m too young
  • I’m not good enough
  • blah … blah … blah

Why are we choosing to stay with ‘crawling’ through life? Is it because we’ve mastered that level, and moving forward to something new is scary and unknown? When did we loose the ability to believe in ourselves, to pick ourselves back up when we fall and to keep going no matter what towards our goals and dreams in life?

So my challenge for you today, whatever ‘perceived problem’ you might be facing, choose to look at it differently.

Choose to look at it with the ‘never give up attitude’ you had when you were a toddler learning to walk for the first time. To have fun with it, do it many different ways, keep going and you WILL find a way. Just like you did when you learnt to walk for the first time.

And remember

Wish It … Dream It … Do It!
