Studies have shown that how you spend your 1st waking hour, sets you up for the rest of the day. So how do you spend your first hour when you wake up?

Do you incessantly hit the snooze button on your alarm clock and roll over, or do you jump out of bed excited that you have another chance at life to become the best version you can be in that moment?

Do you think about your massive to do list, feeling stressed and anxious about it, or do you visualise your future you want to create?

As you know, what you think about and focus on, you create more of , so what are you choosing. If you’re looking for some ideas of shifting into and creating a future by design, I’ve outlined below what I do.

For myself I know the difference in my days, when I start the day in a stressed fashion, the day seems to spiral downwards very quickly. However on the days when I choose ‘to set myself up’ with a positive mindset, meditate and visualise in my mind, the future I want to create. I’m in the scene experiencing the event, making it so real in my mind. The beauty about this process is that your mind doesn’t know the difference between a ‘real’ event and an ‘imagined’ event, to your mind they’re the same.

I was recommended a book at the start of this year – The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod and for me it’s taken everything to the next level. Hal outlines 6 key habits, his Life-Savers that can help transform your life out of mediocrity and to start to live your fullest potential, whatever that is for you. After all you are the master of your own life.

S – Silence

A – Affirmations

V – Visualisation

E – Exercise

R – Reading

S – Scribing (Journalling)

If you feel that you’re not a morning person, don’t have the time or inclination …. he has you covered….even a 6 minute Miracle Morning version 🙂

So if you’re thinking of making some changes in your life, start with your morning routine, building a foundation for the rest of the day.

And remember

Wish It … Dream It … Do It!
